Heartfelt message
Some of my favorite memories are of Hanukkah with this family: DETAIL, the candles burning down and everyone talking at once. Thank you for every one of those nights. Happy Hanukkah, with all my love.
Warm message
This year I'm wishing our family a Hanukkah that's bright in every sense: candles glowing, kitchen busy and everyone we love close by, in person or in thought. Happy Hanukkah to all of you.
Personal message
Hanukkah always brings me back to DETAIL. I hope our family keeps making memories like that for a long time. Happy Hanukkah to the people who gave me so many good ones.
Make the words yours
Name a family tradition in DETAIL: a recipe, a game, a song you sing together or a story that gets retold.
If family is spread out this year, a line about lighting candles at the same time can make the distance feel smaller.
Write to the whole household or to one person. If you sign for several people, check that everyone is happy with the words.

When Hanukkah falls
Hanukkah, also spelled Chanukah, lasts eight nights, with one more candle lit each night.
In 2026, it begins at sundown on Friday, December 4, and ends at nightfall on Saturday, December 12. Because the dates move from year to year, check them before you send.
Use the message in your own card
Copy the wording into a card or a message you send yourself. Replace NAME with your name and DETAIL with the family tradition or memory you want to name; remove any brackets that remain.
Choose only words you are comfortable sending. This page supplies message ideas, so keep personal names and memories in the card or document you are preparing.
